The overarching goal of the proposed work is twofold: 1) to develop a shoreline forecasting model using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques; 2) to simulate estuarine flows with the assistance of AI. This project aims to support science-based decision-making for effective management practices and planning strategies in response to climate change impacts in small- estuaries of the binational region. The collaboration between UABC and UC Davis leverages complementary skills in data processing and modelling of physical processes in the coastal zone.
