Complete beach recovery in Ensenada after the 2015-2016 El Niño winter

The beach of Ensenada (Playa Hermosa), located within Todos Santos Bay in the NW Baja California peninsula, has recovered its subaerial volume since the incidence of El Niño winter energetic waves in 2015-2016. The actual (September 2018) amount of sand is similar to the measured in September 2014. While its recovery capability was reported at 65% in August 2017 (Ruiz de Alegria-Arzaburu & Vidal-Ruiz, 2018), the beach has been able to recover 100% of its sand over the 2018 summer. This interesting output results from the intensive and continuous high-quality work carried out by the whole MORDICS team!
